Whether you are a morning cup of coffee person or prefer a caffeine coffee boost in the afternoon (or both!), coffee has always been known to add a little pep in our step, no matter the time of day. For many, the flavor of coffee alone is enough to fuel their day with energy and productivity. Why limit the savory flavor of coffee to simply drinks when there are a ton of delicious coffee dessert recipes and mouth watering coffee ground recipes? The coffee experts at Bucks County Coffee are sharing the inside scoop on some easy recipes with coffee being one of the main ingredients.
Coffee Sugar Cookies
For all the coffee lovers and sugar cookie fans, it’s time to enjoy the best of both flavors with this delicious coffee dessert recipe! To get started on this tasty I Am Baker recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
● 1 cup of butter, softened
● 1 ½ cup sugar, granulated
● 2 ¼ cup flour
● 2 tbsp. ground coffee
● ½ tsp. vanilla
● 1 tsp. baking powder
● ½ tsp. cinnamon
● ¼ tsp. salt
● 2 eggs
Start by blending together your softened butter and sugar in your mixer. In a separate bowl, whisk up your vanilla, eggs, and ground coffee (we highly recommend using our famous Cinnamon Sugar Cookie coffee blend!) until they are thoroughly combined. Grab another bowl to stir together the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder. Take your time pouring in your egg mixture into the mixer first, then proceed to add your flour mixture next. Chill the dough for an hour (or overnight) and, once it has chilled, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Roll out the dough and shape your cookies with a cookie cutter (or a drinking glass), placing them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are to your liking! Just like that, you have savory sugar cookies with a hint of that coffee flavor we know you love!
Coffee Rubbed Pork Roast
Once you try this spectacular coffee ground recipe, you’ll never turn back when it comes to pork roast! Be sure to stock up on these ingredients before you get started on this recipe from Budget Bytes:
● 3 ⅕ lbs. pork shoulder
● 3 tbsp. coffee beans (try using our savory Toasted Pecan coffee blend)
● ½ cup brown sugar
● ½ tbsp. Cayenne pepper
● ½ tbsp. salt
● 15-20 cranks of cracked black pepper
● 1 tsp. minced garlic
● ½ tsp. smoked paprika
Start by grinding up your coffee beans into a fine powder. In a bowl, mix your coffee grounds, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, cracked black pepper, salt, minced garlic, and smoked paprika. Use this mixture to spread all over the pork and move the seasoned shoulder into a slow cooker. It’s important to let it cook for eight hours on low to give it plenty of time to soak in all the flavor! After the eight hours is up, easily shred the pork with a fork. Now you’re ready to enjoy this amazing and easy recipe with coffee!
